No one with any symptoms whatsoever will be permitted in the building!
If you need to see Shannon, she will be available out back 10 minutes before and after each class.
Drop off and pick up will be in the back parking lot. Dancers should not arrive earlier then 5 minutes before the start of a class. Those who arrive earlier should remain in their cars. Children under 8 years old can be walked to the door one at a time. There will be someone there to greet you with hand sanitizer. Everyone should use the hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the building.
Teachers will bring your students out and wait with them until they are picked up. Parents/guardians must be in the parking lot 10 minutes prior to the pick-up time of their young dancers. It is important not to be late.
Dancers should arrive fully dressed with hair done and ready for class. The bathrooms will not be places to do hair or to change.
Dancers, guardians, and teachers are required to stay at home if they are feeling sick or under the weather; have a fever, shortness of breath, or cough; or have been around anyone testing positive for COVID-19.
We are strongly encouraging the wearing of masks while we work out maintaining social distancing inside the studio. We recognize that the physical exertion associated with ballet/dance class makes wearing a mask during class possibly too confining or not safe. Masks may be removed in the studio to enable dancing. This is allowed for easy breathing during active dancing. Anyone that would like to keep his or her mask on during dancing may do so.
All classes will end 15 minutes earlier than usual so we can assure pick up and have time to sanitize before the next class. Students who have back-to-back classes will remain inside and closely supervised during sanitation. They will also be sent one at a time to the restroom to wash their hands.
All equipment including door handles, bathrooms, barres, etc. will be sanitized between and before each class. More extensive cleaning will be done during closed times.
Any class with more than 9 students will be separated and rotated in throughout the class. (At this point we only have two classes with more than 9)
All students will be asked (as usual) to respect each others space, to keep their hands to themselves, and will also be reminded to not touch their faces as well as other social distancing practices. All parents/guardians should go over good physical distancing practices and hand cleaning practices with their dancer(s) as many times as necessary to insure their dancer understands the importance of these practices.
All students must bring their own water bottle (no glass bottles please), there will be no bottled water available at the studio.
Out of abundance of caution and to limit the transmission of COVID-19, no food or snacks may be brought into the studio building.
Other personal items like dance bags and shoes will be kept inside the studios unless they have a locker. If they have a locker they will be sent out 1 at a time to change their shoes.
If you know your student sweats during class please have them bring a towel to wipe themselves during class.
